Both ～ませんか and ～ましょう are used to suggest an action, but they have different nuances:
1. ～ませんか → “Would you like to…?” / “Shall we…?”
This is a polite invitation or suggestion to someone.
It implies that you are asking for the other person’s opinion.
Example:
いっしょに映画を見ませんか？ (Issho ni eiga o mimasen ka?)
→ “Would you like to watch a movie together?”
2. ～ましょう → “Let’s…”
This is a stronger proposal or decision to do something.
It suggests that you are taking the lead or making a firm decision.
Example:
いっしょに映画を見ましょう。 (Issho ni eiga o mimashou.)
→ “Let’s watch a movie together.”
Key Difference:
～ませんか is a question inviting someone to do something (more polite).
～ましょう is a statement suggesting or deciding to do something together (more assertive).
